Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas claims Frank Lampard’s talent has never been in question after the England midfielder’s hat-trick helped Chelsea to a 5-1 victory over Bolton.
Lampard, who has not always been a first-choice pick for club and country this season, demonstrated that he still has plenty to offer by netting twice before the break and once in the second half of the Premier League match Bolton vs Chelsea at the Reebok Stadium.
“His talent was never in question. I said before when I first arrived, it’s not about age, but competence and this squad is full of competence. The talent of the team was has never been in question,” the handsome 34-year-old coach said.
While the weekend was a comfortable one for Villas-Boas and Chelsea, it was a terrible one for Arsene Wenger when Tottenham vs Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
